President Uhuru Kenyatta on Sunday stormed the Madaraka Express train  and surprised passengers.

He took the Standard Gauge Railway from Nairobi to Mombasa terminus and interacted with commuters during the journey.

The President, via his twitter handle, said he was glad that the SGR train services have improved travel for Kenyans between the two cities.

Earlier today, I took the SGR train from Nairobi to Mombasa, during which I met and interacted with fellow commuters who shared their interesting experiences about the service.

I am glad that the #SGR train services have enhanced travel for Wananchi between the two cities.
