According to the immediate past Governor of Ekiti State Mr Ayodele Fayose, the solution to the multitudes of problems confronting Nigeria is obedience to the teachings of Jesus Christ.

In a Christmas goodwill message by his Press Secretary, Mr Idowu Adelusi, Fayose noted that Jesus’ teachings centered around loving one’s neighbour as oneself, tolerance,  obedience to the authority and the law,  and sacrifice.

The former governor said had Nigerian leaders and followers adhered to these teachings, Nigeria would not be in the mess that it was in.

“The teaching of Jesus Christ is the solution to all problems, such as poverty, killings, kidnappings, bad governance, armed robbery, unemployment and economic stagnation which the country is facing currently.

“For us to be great as a nation, we must not only imbibe these qualities but we must also put them into use,” Fayose said.
