Singer Yemi Alade accuses social media for high rate of depression

Nigerian Singer and performer, Yemi Alade has accused social media of contributing to the increased rate of depression in the country.

The veteran artist took to her social media space to reveal that the rising spate of depression amongst people is caused by social media.

She said social media is training people to compare their lives instead of appreciating everything that they are.

"Social media is training us to compare our lives, instead of appreciating everything that we are, No wonder everyone is so depressed!" she posted on Twitter.
