Chrisland University Assistant Librarian selected for IFLA/OCLC Fellows

The Assistant Librarian of Chrisland University, John Oluwaseye Adebayo has been selected to participate in the 2019 Jay Jordan IFLA/OCLC Early Career Development Fellowship Program along with four other beneficiaries.

Other fellows expected to participate in this year’s program include Davaasuren Myagmar, National Library of Mongolia; Tracey-Ann Ricketts, National Library of Jamaica; Samar Jammoul, Safadi Public Library, Lebanon and Ramiro Jose Rico Carranza, Universidad Católica Boliviana San Pablo, Bolivia.

Mr. Adebayo will be exposed to a broad range of issues in information technologies, library operations and global cooperative librarianship in the course of the four week intensive programme which is expected to take off by March, 16 2019 in Dublin.

The program is an initiative of International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA), and Online Computer Library Center (OCLC) and is designed to support library and information science professionals from countries with developing economies.

He is a committed young man with natural leadership skills and has been with Chrisland University for over a year where he serves as an Assistant Libraraian.
