While the euphoria of the monumental achievement of getting the courses of the university fully accredited by the National University Commission (NUC) is still very much in the air, the Vice Chancellor of Chrisland University, Prof. Chinedun Babalola has taken another giant step to unveil plans by the university to introduce College of Medicine in their academic curriculum come September this year when new session is expected to begin.

This was made known to our reporters during an inspection tour to the proposed facilities of the programme in Lagos and Abeokuta. Reacting to the development, Prof. Chinedun Babalola said “the proposed College of Medicine will come with state of the art equipment of global standard to make them compete with other Colleges of Medicine in the world.”

This assertion was further corroborated by medical Consultant to the University, Prof. Yemi Omotade who certified that the facilities on ground are satisfactory to take off the programmes.

In line with this development, the Chancellor of Chrisland University, High Chief Dr. (Mrs.) W.A Awosika commended the efforts of the Vice Chancellor and expressed her total support and commitment to this laudable programme.
Medical programmes to start within the college include – Pharmacy, Dentistry, Nursing, Biochemistry, physiotherapy, Anatomy, and Microbiology. This according to her is part of her commitment to taking the university to the next level of academic excellence.
