Outgoing Chairman of the African Union, AU and President of Rwanda, President Paul Kegame has welcomed Madagascar President-Elect, Andry Rajoelina and DRC President Felix Tshisekedi to the African Union, AU.

Following the change of leadership of the AU with the emergence of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi as chairman of the 55-member African Union, President Sisi has stated his commitment to reinforce , support and bring more to what his predecessor Paul Kagame has initiated.

Meanwhile, Mr Kagame, takes over from his Ugandan counterpart Yoweri Museveni, as the Chairman of the East African Community (ECA).

The regional body is made up of Burundi, Kenya, Rwanda, South Sudan, Tanzania and Uganda.
