It was all fun in Chrisland University campus during the period of the general elections. The campus community having performed their civic responsibility also engaged in catching some fun. This is to give credence to the popular saying that - All work and no Play makes Jack a Dull boy. It is noteworthy that academic and sport educations are tide in the curriculum and therefore cannot be separated but worked together to enhance learning capability.
The robust and fulfilled event has all students and staff in attendance. The students came up with a one-week football tournament that began Tuesday 19th February to Tuesday 26th February.
Four miniature clubs were created and named after the management staff of the university - namely: Awosika FC - Chancellor, Babalola FC - VC, Olowola FC - Registrar and Akeredolu FC - Bursar.
The colourful event ended with every one winning. No loser! Awosika FC picked the gold, Babalola FC went with the silver and Akeredolu FC, the bronze. Best striker, goal keeper, defender and highest goal scorers were recognized as great football talents.
The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Chinedum Peace Babalola and other management staff gave them a maximum support by providing sporting materials like jersey, trophy, medals, etc. The entire university community (staff and students) was excitement as everyone looks forward to another round of such fun.
