ENGLISH PREMIER LEAGUE SIDE-              Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea has hinted that he is ready to commit his long-term future to the 20-time English champions.

De Gea has less than 18 months left to run on his existing contract, but his presence is still need in Old Trafford, thus there is great interest to sign the Spain international to a new long-term deal as soon as possible.

There were concerns over De Gea in the early stages of his Premier League career, but the Madrid-born stopper has since developed into one of the world's best in his position.

United are said to be confident of signing the Spaniard to a new long-term contract, but wage demands are still believed to be an issue.

On Thursday, United's goalkeeping coach Emilio Alvarez posted a picture of himself on Instagram alongside De Gea with the caption: "Friends, coffee time, excited future ahead [sic]".

In response, De Gea posted two 'top arrow emojis', suggesting that an agreement is close.

The 28-year-old has kept 10 clean sheets in 34 appearances for the Red Devils
