Why I am supporting the cause of less privileged---Senator Omisore

A former chairman of senate committee on appropriation and gubernatorial aspirant in Osun state, Senator Iyiola Omisore has urged well meaning Nigerians to support the cause of the masses and less privileged in the society by donating generously to the Lions club international.
Omisore made this call at the weekend in Akure at the investiture of Lion Muyiwa Tokunbo Jegede as the pioneer district governor of 404 A-1,Nigeria, and fund raising dinner for district core projects in aid of the less privileged, held at the Jojein Hotels and Resorts.
The former senator who was the chief launcher at the occasion said it was imperative to contribute to support the cause of less privileged, adding that those without infirmity are living by the grace of God.
He said: " I urge everyone present here tonight to donate well and generously to the cause of the less privileged.it is good to serve the Lord by supporting the less privileged. I use to tell people that nobody can claim to have passed the stage of being challenged physically until that person has gone to the great beyond. Today, you are fit and if there arises an accident, that person if lucky to escape death may be deformed. It is by the mercy of God that we are hale and hearty and it is better to reciprocate this good gesture by serving humanity".
Omisore , who commended the Ondo state governor, Dr. Segun Mimiko for the transformation of the Sunshine state maintained that all hands must be on deck in order to consolidate on the achievements.
Speaking earlier, former governor of Adamawa State, Mr. Boni Haruna who was represented by the Director General of National Sports Commission, Hon. Gbenga Elegbeleye, admonished Senator Omisore for his contributions towards the cause of less privileged whenever he is call upon to do so.
Governor Olusegun Mimiko, who was represented by his Chief of Staff, Dr. Kola Ademujimi,said the state would continue to provide an enabling environment and continue to serve the people through the laudable projects in the Caring Heart programmes.
