Some men suspected to be armed robbers have allegedly killed the bursar of the Akure Diocese of the Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion, Mr. Gabriel Kola Abiodun.

CEOAfrica gathered that the deceased was shot dead at the diocesan office at Alagbaka, Akure, the Ondo State capital this morning shortly after returning from bank with the money meant for the church.

His remains have been evacuated and taken to the mortuary by some policemen.

Security has been beefed up in the area just as sympathisers have begun to besiege the office.
