Mongi Slim says the dozens bodies of settlers who drowned while trying to land up at Europe from Libya will take days to surface.
Speaking to The Associated Press on Saturday, The Tunisia's Red Crescent head affirmed that out of about 75 settlers who left the Libyan city Zouara via a boat that capsized on Friday, only 16 outlasted after the delivery from a Tunisian fishing boat.
Mongi added that the southern Tunisian city's U.N. refugee agency in Medenine is currently administering treatment to the survived 14 Bangladeshis, an Egyptian and Moroccan.
In his evaluation, about 55 victims who are reported as inhabitants of Bangladesh, Egypt, Morocco and unspecified countries in sub-Saharan Africa are still unaccounted for.
The International Organization for Migration affirmed that this is the most lethal settler boat drowning since January.
