Police on Tuesday shot a bandit who had been terrorizing inhabitants of Rhoda Market, Nakuru, while five other suspects absconded.
The Detectives had raided a house they had been hiding in, acting on a tip-off from the public.
Gas cylinders, pangas and a knife were confiscated during the operation.
The Force is still on the relentless move to apprehend other five who absconded.
Two suspected robbers were gunned down last year by police officers at Manyani Estate in Nakuru after a robbery incident.
The two were among four robbers who had broken into a house and stolen household goods.
