The Governor of Zamfara State, Hon. Dr. Bello Mohammed Matawalle, had yesterday suspended the Emir of Maru and the district head of Kanoma in the same local government area of the state.

It is reportedly gathered that the suspensions may not be unconnected with mugger activities in the state, saying that the local government area has been notorious den for the muggers, Dansaudau area of the state particularly.

The probe thereby carried out by this medium clearly showed that the monthly allocations have been shelved by the state government.

According to a political analyst, Alhaji Ahmad Bakare, most of the Emirs were supposed to have been shelved as well since it has been obvious that the traditional leaders were the godfathers of the mass murders and abductions in the state.

“I know that the present governor is very much ready to end the insecurity situation in the state just as he has assured that security of the people of the state would be his Paramount priority,” Bakare said.

He thereby beseeched the governor to dethrone all the traditional leaders in the state to allow peace to reign in the state.
