Lagos State Government in Nigeria Challenges Al-Mustapha’s Release at the Supreme Court

Report reaching the news desk of CEOAFRICA.com from Lagos in Nigeria explained that the state government formerly appeal against the release of Major Hamza Al-Mustapha, former Chief Security Officer to late Head of State, General Sani Abacha, alleged to have perpetuated the murder of Alhaja Kudirat Abiola, wife of Late M.K.O Abiola.

This came few weeks after Mustapha was discharged by the appellate court

According to a release by the state Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr. Ade Ipaye, Lagos state government has headed to Supreme Court so as to challenge the judgement of the lower court.

The Attorney General who refused to disclose the grounds, on which the state was challenging the judgment of the appeal court, said the state took the decision after one month of thorough evaluation of the judgment and found out “there are enough and very good grounds for appeal.”
