The 2-day workshop organized by Professor Chinedum Peace Babalola, under the auspices of Chrisland University has informed raving responses and feedbacks from the participants (lecturers).
Recall that the citadel of learning had welcomed team of experts from the University of Ibadan to dissect the needed pedagogical skills in teaching and learning process.
The team, led by Professor Kola Babarinde, Pioneer Director of Centre for Excellence in Teaching and Learning, University of Ibadan unveiled the pedagogical skills in teaching methodology and learning process.
The world class University’s lecturers who participated in the workshop, had thereby pinpointed diverse responses to gratify the efficacy of the remarkable workshop.
In a chat with CEOAfrica, some of the lecturers gave their remarkable testimonies from the life changing workshop, and acknowledged Chrisland University for its distinctive move to being a world class.
They stated:
“It’s a great one. I’ve been educated, I’ve been taught. I really enjoyed it.
“Chrisland University is really privileged to have this kind of Vice Chancellor in making the University great,” Professor Mrs Aderonke Akintokun (Dean, College of Natural and Applied Sciences, and Head of Department, Micro Biology) said.
“Learning is a long life affair. And that is why people like us are here. It was invigorating, refreshing, and educative”, she said.
On his own part, “Professor Emmanuel Maduagwu (Professor of Bio Chemistry, Chrisland University) said “Chrisland University has a lot of promise, and it will surprise Nigeria in the future”
“This is a good example of leadership qualities. I will call it train the trainers’ workshop.
“Chrisland University is Christ based. It strives for excellence. Others are learning from us, even though we are young. But with professionals we have,” Dr. CBN Uche (HOD, Business Administration and Economics) said.
“What has impressed me most is the participation of the staff. I’ve been to several conferences and most times, after first and second session, most people are tired. But here, participation was full to the end.
Also Dr. Ajibola (Director of Academic Planning, Chrisland University) affirms that “Chrisland University is a world class”.
“I have learnt that because you are a lecturer or have PhD doesn’t mean you have known everything. Learning itself should be a continuous process.
“Chrisland University is immeasurable under leadership support to state improving quality of output,” Dr. Nicholas Idris (Department of Political Science and International Relations) said.
“The pre-consideration I had about teaching before is more of mainframe Ideology. But right now, it appears that teaching is fun. Not just one way traffic ideology this time around. I had to go back to memory lane and start putting things into action.
While reacting on the performance of the VC, Mr Folorunso Ogunmefun (Department of Criminology and Security Studies) said “The Vice Chancellor of the University has been wonderful. Things she has been doing are behind the growth and development of Chrisland University,”
