Chrisland University kicks-off construction of College of Law, creates more professional programmes

Chrisland University, Abeokuta six months after the accreditation of all its courses has kick the ground rolling again as it will start the construction of the Institution’s College of Law in June as well as submits eight more professional programmes to National Universities Commission (NUC) for accreditation.

The mind-blowing good news was disclosed by the amiable Vice Chancellor of the institution, Professor Chinedum Peace Babalola in an exclusive interview with CEOAfrica.

According to Professor Babalola, the construction of the College of law will kick off in few week’s time, adding that it is a move to expand and add more professional programmes to the existing ones.

She stressed that the College of Law is among the three core colleges; College of Engineering and College of Medicine, which she described to be the invariable courses of the institution.

The erudite professor, highlighted that the institution has also included medical sciences, such as nursing, public health theotherapies which she said will be a stepping stone for College of Medicine and engineering courses, like software engineering, cyber security, physics with electronics, perving way for College of engineering.

“Chrisland University is expanding its programs to become more professional, we want to add more professional programmes, we’re working hard with the founders and Board of Trustees, we have written NUC to come and verify some programmes in medical science, such as nursing, public health, theotherapies, medical lab science.

“We want to add more professional programme, the medical sciences, such as nursing, public health theotherapies; engineering, like Software Engineering, Cyber Security, Physics with electronics, perving way for College of Engineering.

“We want to run programme that we can get more subscription, we have a good brand, we have accreditation and we have the facilities.”

She further noted that the essence of the ongoing construction of college of law and addition of more professional course, is to build students in different professional fields, that will be grinded with exceptional knowledge to tackle the challenges facing Nigerian graduates.

Professor Babalola, however affirmed that the strength of Chrisland university, will solely be in Law, Medicine and Engineering.
