The famous Nigeria Rib-cracker, Afamefuna Klint Igwemba, popularly known as Klint da Drunk, was in Kampala, Ugandan capital, last Thursday for a gig at the weekly live stand-up comedy show at UMA Exhibition hall, Lugogo.

The show hosted by comedian the country’s Alex Muhangi is recorded on Thursdays and airs Tuesdays on NTV Uganda.

According to The Observer, Muhangi usually invites comedians and musicians from Uganda and beyond to perform, and this time round he made his choice in Nigeria, Picking Klint with his ‘drunko’ character.

The Nigeria comedian took to the stage at 11:22pm, after Dr Tamale, Godi Godi, Senga Justin Nantume, T-Amale and Snake, Mariachi and Bebe Cool had already set the huge tent alight. Thousands of fans were in attendance; others had no choice but to watch from outside.

But sadly, Klind da Drunk’s jokes this time were not really funny, especially for patrons that watched him the last time he performed in Kampala. He came without new material and the crowd responded accordingly: with lacklustre applause.

Some of his jokes were about Nigerian musicians, his mother’s slaps compared to his father’s, and how the Naija police’s slaps have an echo.

It was shocking that by time dancehall singer Cindy came to perform, many patrons had left the venue.
