The Governorship candidate of All Progressive Congress (APC) and governor of Osun State, Mr. Rauf Aregbesola, has condemned the arrest of his party chieftains, saying it is “unfair and not good for our democracy.”

The governor made this declaration shortly after accreditation at his Unit 1, ward 8, Ifofin Ilesa, at 10.45 am, the governor who was accompanied by his wife, Sherifat, and his two children, urged the people of the town to remain peaceful. 

Aregbesola who walked from his Ilesa home with his supporters, expressed surprise at the massive turnout of people saying “if the federal government could get 20 per cent of  the support of people like this, it would have helped them again.”
