Ex-LGA chairmen
Members of Oyo state chapter of Association of Former Chairmen Local Government, ASSELGON, under the state chairmanship of Ezekiel Oyedepo of Orire local government of Oyo state during a recent meeting held at the development support centre, Ibadan, the state’s capital, demanded for more roles in their various political party parties across the state.
The association under the chairmanship of the Hon. Ezekiel Oyedepo of Orire Local Governent Area who was unavoidably absent and mandated that the meeting be presided over by the South West chairman of the Association, Hon. Ademola Ojo (Ijaya), had fruitful deliberations which led to the issuance of the communique with the following demands:
ASSELGON agreed to reach out to her people who are in position to consolidate on this platform, have a befitting office, position themselves for future politics of Oyo state, wants her communiqué published on social and other media outfit through national ASSELGON.
It added that they must be placed as stakeholders in their various parties, work for inter party peace and politicking, instill and promote the tenets of good democratic practice and value.
The communiqué signed by Hon. Wale Ogunmola and Biodun Adedoja also asked to support the fight against corruption vices in public office, and promote continuity of good governance and the discontinuity of bad governance.
