The African Union Commissioner for Education, Youth & Capacity Development, Science & Technology Mrs Sarah Anyang Agbor says women should encourage women in the rural areas by scaling up their businesses.

She made this statement at the First Virtual Nigerian Women Business Summit organised by the Association For Nigerian Women Business Network (ANBWN), today 30th September 2020.

She applauded the leaders of the association for choosing the theme of the summit which is: "From Fear To Hope", Scaling Women Business Impact For A Decade Of Action, as best suitable for a time like this in the spate of the fear and uncertainty posed by the COVID 19 crises.

She further added that no one can be functional in the face of fear, therefore women need to be encouraged with hope on how to scale up their businesses.

She mentioned that women are builders and not scatterers, and should be empowered to build as this is the time where women should rise up and raise others especially in the rural areas.

She applauded the organisers and speakers who spoke before her as she appreciates their fiery passion and commitment to building other women.
