African Union Commissioner for Human Resource Science and Technology (HRST), Prof. Sarah Anyang Agbor is in Yaounde, Cameroon, to install the new director of Pan African University Institute of Governance, Humanities and Social Sciences (PAUGHSS).

Recall that the announcement of the appointment of Prof Elizabeth Abenga as head PAUGHSS  was made on the 7th of October, 2020.

The Commissioner, an education enthusiast under whom the Pan African University has thrived, said that Prof. Abenga was selected following a very rigorous process carried out by an international high-level panel who were delighted by her credentials and experience.

Prof. Elizabeth Abenga was described as the best candidate for the job and was warmly welcomed aboard the institution.

PAUGHSS is one of the five hubs of the Pan African University and the Institute trains students from various African countries who are selected on the basis of excellent academic results while also considering gender and disability issues.

The institution currently offers high level trainings to students in three major fields of study which are; Governance and Regional Integration; Translation and Conference Interpretation; and Trade and Trans Boarder Languages.
