Youths protesting against the brutality and extrajudicial killings by officers of the now-dissolved, Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS, on Tuesday returned to the streets in Osogbo, the Osun State capital.

The protesters blocked the bustling Olaiya axis and other major roads in the state, causing gridlock as commuters and motorists were on a standstill.

The Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, had on Sunday announced the dissolution of SARS after days of agitation across the country.

However, the protesters are dissatisfied with the announcement and callsfor the release of those arrested.
