Libya's Interior Minister Mohammed Khalifa al-Sheikh
Report reaching CEOAFRICA.com was that Libya’s Interior Minister Mohammed Khalifa al-Sheikh has resigned his appointment, three months after taken up the position from his predecessor, Ashour Shuail.
The resignation, CEOAFRICA.com gathered from sources, was due to differences prime minister, a parliament member and an official at the prime minister’s office during the weekend.
It was further reported that al-Sheikh submitted his resignation to both the cabinet and the parliament in protest against what he called government and parliament interference in his work.
Confirming the resignation, Al-Sharif al-Wafi, a member of the Libyan General National Congress said that he didn't have any understanding with the prime minister and that he didn't have enough mandate to carry out his work.
