Few hours to the launch of Fixpolitics, the platform dedicated to emerge voters who are economically productive, informed, active, engaged and constitute a powerful electorate that cuts across the low and middle-income class of voters; registered participants can barely contain their excitement.
Fixpolitics which is the brainchild of former presidential aspirant, Oby Ezekwesili and is to be launched today, Wednesday 11th of November, 2020, is a forum that is focused on building a massive base and pipeline of a new and disruptive-thinking political class and to compel key political and electoral reform actions for credible, transparent, free, and fair elections by the Executive, Legislature, INEC, and the security establishment.
The public launch of Fixpolitics features keynote and prominent speakers from home and abroad in the likes of former president of Mexico, Mr. Felipe Calderon who will give the keynote speech, former president of Malawi, Dr. Joyce Banda, who is to give the goodwill message, former presidential candidate, Prof. Remi Sonaiya, who will give the welcome address and the brain behind it all, Obiageli ‘Oby’ Ezekwesili.
Also, key players in polity such as the immediate past chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof. Atahiru Jega, will join other prominent Nigerians such as the former Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo and Pastor Tunde Bakare to discuss the state of politics in Nigeria at the public launch of Fixpolitics on Wednesday.
The launch has been divided into three segments with each segment having live panel discussions. The first live panel to take place at 1:40pm would engage Pastor Tunde Bakare, Professor Charles Soludo, Fakhrriyah Hashim, Yemi Adamolekun as discussants and Dr Jibo Ibrahim as the moderator.
The second panel discussion to take place at 2:15pm shall engage Ndi Kato, Adewunmi Emoruwa, Dr Usman Bugaje as discussants and Chioma Agwuegbo as the moderator while the third panel discussion shall have Cynthia Mbamalu, Iyin Aboyeji, Dr Hakeem Baba-Ahmed as discussants and Dr Aminu Salihu as the moderator.
