The Police Command in Osun has assured residents of the state of adequate security and protection during and after the yuletide.
The Command expressed this in a Press Release by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPPRO), SP Opalola Yemisi Olawoyin, , which was made available to CEOAFRICA on Friday 4th December, 2020.
According to Opalola, the State Commissioner of Police, CP Johnson Babatunde Kokumo, has directed all heads of Police in the state to intensify security coverage to the nooks and crannies of the state.
While assuring the citizens of Police commitment to guarantee crime free Christmas and New Year festivities, the CP enjoins members of the public to be security conscious and go about their legitimate activities and businesses without fear of insecurity.
He said officers and men have been lectured, sensitized and tasked to comport themselves to be courteous, civil, observe healthy human rights and act in accordance with international best practices.
The Police Commissioner thereafter wished everyone a Merry Christmas, Prosperous New Year in advance and advised parents, guardians to caution their wards to eschew any act of criminality, adding that any suspicion should be timely reported and directed to the following distress numbers: 08039537995, 08123823981, 08075872433 or report to the nearest police station.
