The Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC), Ogun State Command, has conferred Chrisland University Vice-Chancellor, Professor Chinedum Peace Babalola as Patroness for her impeccable service to humanity.

The award ceremony which was graced by the high ranked officers and other men of the Nigeria Police Force and members of the Police Community Relations Committees took place at the PCRC’s Head Office, Ibara Housing Estate, Abeokuta.

In his remark, the Commissioner of Police, Edward Awolowo Ajogun said PCRC is a non-governmental organization that assists police in combating crime in every community, adding that they are the eye of Nigeria Police Force which help in providing concrete information, checkmating social vices as well as providing peace and unity in every community.

CP extended his gratitude to PCRC for maintaining peace among communities and enjoined everyone to cooperate with the Police to maintain orderliness.

While presenting the awards to the new patrons and patroness, he charged everyone to work with the PCRC to achieve more success with laudable landmark in the State.

On her part, The Vice Chancellor of Chrisland University, Professor Mrs. Chinedum Peace Babalola who was the only female honoured urged everyone to embrace service to humanity in their own little ways so that the world can be a better place for everyone.

The VC noted that the Police Community Relations Committee has a good relationship with Chrisland University, assuring a continual collaboration of the duo.

She also stated that the institution is willing to run a professional course/training for the Police Force to enforce norms and standards.

Babalola reiterated that the acronym for her name “CP (Chinedum Peace)” often regarded as “Commissioner of Police” stands for Peace, promising that the institution would continue to work hand in hand with PCRC to promote peace, safety and security.
