Crisis Looms at AAU as ASUU flays planned resumption

The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), Ambrose Alli University (AAU), Ekpoma chapter, has called on the students, parents and guardians to disregard the institution management’s purported reopening date which it al­legedly fixed for December 20 2020.

Dr. Monday Lewis Ig­bafen and Dr. Anthony Ai­zebioje-Coker, Chairperson and Secretary respectively of ASUU, AAU, Ekpoma chapter, in a statement on Monday evening stated that the union was in receipt of information credited to the university administration that “the University re­opens for activities on 20th December, 2020.

According to the union, “The Ambrose Alli Uni­versity’s Chapter of ASUU wishes to notify the gen­eral public, the students, parents and guardians in particular that the nation­wide strike approved by our national body in March this year has not been sus­pended to necessitate the reopening of the university.
