Chrisland University, Abeokuta on Thursday, 17th December, held its 2020 Christmas carol service at the school multi-purpose hall.
The event which featured melodious rendition of different songs and admonitions, has it theme as “Christ: Our Ruler,” culled from Micah 52.

Speaking on the theme, “Christ: Our Ruler, the Vice Chancellor of the institution, Prof. Chinedum Peace Babalola said the theme is a clarion call for a reflection on the season for Christ’s birth and its expression in everyone’s lives.
She explained that the birth of Christ brings love, peace, joy, blessings and giving to mankind, adding that Christmas calls for true sacrifice for others, rendering service and possessing a feeling of universal brotherhood.

“Jesus was born to be a saviour of the world; saviour from sin, evil, problem. Man is with all sort of problems, so Jesus actually came to save the world, to bring peace, joy, blessing, so that is why we celebrate him,” she enthused.
Speaking with CEOAFRICA, Babalola said "despite the COVID-19 that ravaged the world this year, everyone should give glory and appreciate God for the gift of life. Praise God that we are alive today after all that has happened in 2020, we should praise God and join the angels in praises, because Jesus is still alive and he is still doing good for all".
