CEOAFRICA.com gathered from Kenya that Kisumu county is set to employ not less than 169 teachers in all its public primary schools.
According to Kisumu county’s executive for education, sports and culture Jennifer Kerre, the positions to be occupied will be advertised in the 35 wards to ensure fair distribution of the opportunities, stating that teachers will be employed every year in order to meet up with teacher to child ratio.
Furthermore, Kerre said that the county government will give priority to vulnerable children especially those learning under deplorable conditions to enable them get qualitative education.
She then urged stakeholders to ensure their children get proper education that will improve their living standards.
Kerrer then thanked Kenya Communication of Sports Organisations chairman Mutua Muthusi and the country’s President Uhuru Kenyatta for their donations to the county in support of education.
