As Christian all the world marked the another remembrance of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Executive Director, Institute of Agricultural Research and Training (IAR&T), Moor Plantation, Ibadan, Prof. Mrs. Veronica Obatolu Adeoti has charged Christian faithful to imitate the life and principles of Jesus Christ.
Prof. Obatolu made this statement at the Joint 2020 Christmas Carol of the Institute of Agricultural Research and Training, Federal College of Agriculture (FCA) and Federal College of Animal Health and Production Technology (FCAH), which featured melodious rendition of different songs and admonitions. The event which took place on Wednesday 16th of December, 2020 held at Prof. E.A Adebowale Training Hall.
The theme: “Carol of the Angels” was culled from the Gospel According to Luke, LK 2: 13-14. The guiding scriptural quotation took its hold on the events of the day, as the hall was set in compliance with Covid-19 precautions and discernible spiritual aura that reinforced the spirit of Christmas.
In her Christmas message, Obatolu charged Christian faithful to imitate Jesus Chris and to abide by its teachings.
She said that a Christian is a Christ imitator, adding that a true believer follows the principles and teachings of Jesus Christ, which include: Truthfulness, submissiveness and forgiveness.
She enjoined all Christians to depend on joy and peace that Jesus Christ has given.
