Prophet Samuel Sunday Oyedokun filed for divorce with his estranged wife, Victoria Oyedokun, however the woman does not want to go.

Oyedokun seeks for end of the 34-year-old marriage after the woman fought with him in public alleging he had sent away his 2 wives and brought a mistress to their home in Ejigbo, Lagos, P.M. News reports.

Victoria’s story

Victoria accused Samuel of deceiving her saying that she discovered he had 2 other wives only 20 years after wedding him.

Upon learning the shocking news, the woman reportedly protested and left the matrimonial home. However the husband did not seem to bother and brought in his mistress, according to Victoria.

Following such a development, the outraged woman came back and engaged the prophet and members of church located at 5/7 Jimo Dada street into the fight claiming she wanted to come back home.

Samuel responded that his wife was not welcome, as she had been replaced by another woman who took care of him.

His story

Commenting on the situation, the 70-year-old man explained to the court that despite separating with Victoria, he still caters for their 4 children. He added that he initiated legal proceedings against the woman over her threats.

Samuel also mentioned that all the 3 women he had married years ago left him. He also confessed to having a mistress in his house, however denied romancing with her. According to the prophet, the lady helps him with domestic work.

Samuel said that Victoria had dumped him 20 years ago and expressed his great surprise over her return with fights, threats and desire to return.

The man seeks for divorce and the court order restricting Victoria to approach his house and church.

The prophet stated Victoria’s bad character, absence of love and threats as grounds for divorce. However the woman insists that everything had worked well in the marriage before the mistress came and the she learnt about 2 other wives.

The trial will continue on September 24.
