VOLKSWAGEN Centre is thinking of bringing back the past glory of the brand in Nigeria and matching up with the best in the nation’s auto industry.
The firm has inaugurated the first ever avant-garde VW showroom in Victoria Island, Lagos and promised to re-write the after-sales story of new vehicles in the country.
Head sales and marketing, Volkswagen Centre Lagos, Mr. Manish Daryanani, said the new showroom was only designed to provide accommodation for the display of Volkswagen passenger vehicles, but also a quick service centre, with a display area capable of holding up to 10 vehicles at a time.
He also hinted on plans by the firm to increase VW model line-up in Nigeria by adding new vehicle segment such as polo ‘G’, from India, new Jetta and other exciting models in October.
Daryanani expressed the company’s excitement at the completion of the VW facility, adding, “we are looking forward to unlocking the huge potential of the showroom, which will give us great opportunity to present the Volkswagen range to our valued customers in all its variety.’’
A subsidiary of Stallion Motors, the new Volkswagen Centre, he explained, following the VW adaptable module concept design, which was gradually being rolled out across Volkswagen dealership worldwide.
‘’We are optimistic this turnaround, which promises to also integrate excellent pricing structure and after sales service, will soon change the perception of teeming Nigeria monitoring publics,” he said.
Daryanani also gave the highlight of the soothing ambience at the new centre. He said, “From the very moment a customer walks into the approximately 500sqm vehicle display area through the entrance portal fitted with automatic doors on the ground floor, an imposing Volkswagen insignia behind the reception desk immediately welcomes you.
“And right behind the display area is the car delivery arena which also offers convenient atmosphere for business interface and on the 240sqm upper floor section overlooking the customer lounge and vehicle display areas are sales offices and meeting room.’’
He said the centre would be introducing attractive pricing structure suitable for all customers of the Volkswagen models.
Daryanani said the Volkswagen workshop in Lagos had been relocated to Amuwo Odofin from its previous location at Granada, as part of the company’s expansion plan.
“The relocation will enable the company to offer better after sales service to exciting and potential customers,’’ he said.
“This facility is borne out of Stallion Groups commitment to the Volkswagen dealership as well as its determination to reawaken the confidence of the teeming motoring publics in the VW brand,’’ he said.
