Reno Omokri, ex-aide to former President Goodluck Jonathan, has questioned the kind of relationship that exists between the bandits terrorising the country and renowned Islamic cleric, Sheikh Ahmad Gumi, who has been visiting the bandits in the forest and seeking amnesty for them.

Gumi had also called on Nigeria Government, both the Federal and the State to negotiate with these bandits, as well asking Nigerians to stop calling them “criminals” but “nice names.”

Omokri and Nigerians have expressed sudden shock over his recent comment on giving an update to the media about the abduction of the over 300 school girls of the Government Girls Secondary School in Jangebe, Talata Mafara Local Government Area of Zamfara State.

The ex-aide to former President Jonathan tweeted: “Sheikh Gumi says he will update the media on #JangebeGirls abduction. How come Gumi immediately turns up after abductions by bandits? Are they a tag team? Are they partners? I find it strange that they abduct and next thing is that Gumi turns their spokesman!”

Nigerians had also given their reactions on the stance of the Islamic scholar with the bandits, kidnappers, terrorists.
