Gunmen attacked Federal College of Forestry Mechanisation in the Mando Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State, and abducted unspecified number of female students.

The State Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Mohammed Jalige, confirmed the abduction to newsmen.

ASP Jalige disclosed that the exact number of female students abducted was unknown.

“They were abducted last night, we have no details of the number of students,” he said.

He added that the Police was working with the Nigerian Army to trace the kidnappers and rescue the students.

The Kaduna State Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Mr. Samuel Aruwan,  also confirmed the incident and said an investigation is ongoing.
