CAR president sworn in

Central African Republic's President Faustin-Archange Touadéra was sworn in on Wednesday in a ceremony attended by foreign dignitaries in the capital Bangui.

President Touadéra was re-elected for a second term on 27 December 2020.

The swearing in ceremony was held at the country’s national assembly.

Among the dignitaries that attended the swearing event was the African Union chairperson, Moussa Faki

Other dignitaries who attended include Burundian President Evariste Ndayishimiye, Rwandan Prime Minister Edouard Ngirente, Gabonese Prime Minister Rose Christiane Ossouka Raponda and Cameroon's PM Joseph Dion alias Ngute.
