Osun Police beef up security ahead of Easter celebration

In its efforts to ensure adequate security and peaceful celebration of Easter season, the Osun State Police Command has beefed up the security of the state.

The Command Public Relations Officer, SP Opalola Yemisi Olawoyin, mnipr, disclosed this in a statement he signed on behalf of the State Commissioner of Police, CP Olawale Olokode, psc, and made available to CEOAFRICA on Thursday.

According to the statement, CP Olokode guaranteed the good people of Osun State of “adequate and watertight security during this period and beyond at all religious centres, social gatherings and leisure parks.”

The CP also noted that “Criminals are also put on notice that the Police will not condone any person or group of people suspected to be planning criminal acts as anyone found in this act will be dealt with according to the law.”

The State Command Boss appealed to the public to always give prompt, credible and useful information in order to prevent acts of lawlessness and all infractions of the law.

Members of the public are also enjoined to call the following Police Control Room Numbers in case of infractions of the law: 08039537995, 08123823980 and 08075872433.

CP Olokode therefore the Christian faithful to adhere strictly to COVID-19 protocols as they celebrate the Easter.
