The Executive Secretary of Centre for Research and Documentation on African Traditions and Languages (CERDOTOLA), Professor Charles Binam Bikoi, has felicitated with Christians on this occasion of Easter.  

In a statement made available to CEOAFRICA on Monday, Prof. Charles Binam Bikoi expressed that the season is one that everyone needs to learn from.

According to him, Easter is one of the most uniting events in the world as it preaches the universal message of love.

The erudite professor, who is an expert in African Traditions and Languages, stated that it is in period like this that people from different walks of life irrespective of religious affiliation come together to celebrate in the spirit of unity.

“The atmosphere that Easter ushers in is that of love and unity. It is stronger than any feelings of animosity that people may have had before.

“This is a time when we have to remember that the happiness of our neighbour is also our happiness.

“The message of this season should make us identify everyone with love and understanding while also sharing in their happiness.”

Prof. Charles further called on the Christian faithful to exemplify the virtues of love and sacrifice by the way they relate with their neighbours.
