Report reaching the news desk of CEOAFRICA.com is that Burkinabe Central Police Station officers stormed the studio of Pulsar radio, a privately-owned radio station, and arrest a group of students during a live programme on air.

It was discovered that the Ouagadougou-based radio station studio was invaded during a broadcast of a political programme and arrest the University students who are panelists on the programme.

Sources said the students were accused of making inciteful statements while discussing a recent violent-ridden eviction of university students from the various campuses.

However, after listening to a recorded copy of the broadcast, the police realized that no such statements were made by the students.

Speaking to journalists about the matter, Richard Tene, a reporter at the station said the Superintended of Police has apologised to the management at the radio station after listening to the recorded programme.

Despite the apology, people were not happy about the whole case because it follows spates of attacks and intolerance by the police on freedom of expression and peaceful demonstrations.
