OAU VC Ogunbodede, IAR&T Executive Director Obatolu to receive Agriculture Minister, South West Govs, others at Joint Annual Research Review

The Vice Chancellor of Obafemi Awolowo University, Prof Eyitope Ogunbodede, and the Executive Director of the Institute of Agricultural Research and Training (IAR&T), Prof Veronica Obatolu, are set to receive the Honourable Minister of Agriculture & Rural Development, Hon. Mohammed Sabo Nanono; Prof. Garba H. Sharubutu, the Executive Secretary, Agricultural Research Council of Nigeria (ARCN),  and the South West Governors to the Joint Annual Research Review and 33rd South-West Research Extension Farmers Input Linkage System (REFILS).

Prof. Ogunbodede, the chief host and Prof. Obatolu, the host use this medium to remind the entire public of the highly anticipated Joint Annual Research Review which will take place on Monday, 26th April and ends on Friday, 30th April, 2021 at Prof. E.A Adebowale Training Hall, IAR&T, Ibadan, Oyo State.

Dignitaries expected at the event are: the Special Guests of Honour, Hon. Mohammed Sabo Nanono, Minister of Agriculture & Rural Development; Prof. Garba H. Sharubutu, Executive Secretary, Agricultural Research Council of Nigeria (ARCN), Abuja, and the South-West Governors- Dr. Kayode Fayemi, Executive Governor of Ekiti State; Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Executive Governor of Lagos State; Engineer Seyi Makinde, Executive Governor of Oyo State; Prince Dapo Abiodun, Executive Governor of Ogun State; Arakunrin Rotimi Akeredolu, Executive Governor of Ondo State, and Gboyega Oyetola, Executive Governor of Osun State- who are as well stakeholders of the event.

The 5-day event would have Dr. Debo Akande, the Director General of Oyo State Agribusiness Development Agency (OYSADA), speak on the topic “Agricultural Research and Entrepreneurship for Poverty Alleviation”, and Prof. Mohammed Kuta Yahaya, from the Department of Agricultural Extension & Rural Development, University of Ibadan, to speak on “Promoting Climate Smart Agriculture, Food Security and Sustainable Wealth Creation amidst COVID-19 and Social Conflicts.’

Prof Obatolu, in her chat with CEOAFRICA, sought the presence of the public, stressing that all preparation has been made to ensure the event is a success.
