All is now set for the inauguration ceremony of President Robert Mugabe of Zimbabwe today in the capital city of Harare, CEOAFRICA.com gathered.

Mugabe, who was elected for another five-year term, has been in office since Zimbabwe’s independent in 1980.

The ceremony was delayed by the main rival’s appeal against the election held last month, but since Morgan Tsvangirai MDC-T party’s challenge was dismissed last Tuesday, the coast is clearer for the 89-year old to be sworn-in.

However, the outgoing prime minister and presidential candidate for MDC-T, Morgan Tsvangirai declared that he will boycott the inauguration. According to his spokesperson, Mr. Tsvangirai says the election was stolen and he can’t attend a party hosted by robbers.

President Robert Mugabe’s ZANU-PF party won majority of votes at the parliamentary and presidential election held in the country last month.
