Saturday, 22 May 2021: US on Saturday joined on the countries of the world to commiserate with Nigeria over the tragic death of her Chief of Army Staff, Lt Gen. Ibrahim Attahiru.

According to the statement on the mission’s verified twitter handle, the United States descried the death of Nigeria’s Chief of Army Staff, Gen Attahiru as a tremendous loss to the country.

US in a signed statement by her Mission in Nigeria said, “We join Nigerians in mourning the tragic loss of life in today’s (Friday) plane crash. The death of the Chief of Army Staff is a tremendous loss to Nigeria, and his loved ones.
