Wednesday, 26 May 2021: ‘Death is nothing but a transition from one room to the other or simply removing an old garment’ to meet the Lord, where there would be no death, no pain or travails again.

This is the case of His Eminence Primate Dr Gabriel Akanni Adeogun as family, friends and well wishers gathered on Tuesday to pay last respect to him.

Primate Adeogun died on Thursday, May 13, 2021 in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital and was buried on Tuesday, 25 May 2021 after church service at his church, Agbara Adura Evangelical Church, Oke-Abetu, Abeokuta.

His Eminence Primate Dr. G .A. Adeogun Agbara  was the founder and spiritual hero of Adura Evangelical Church.

He was survived by children, grandchildren and great grand children among who is Prof. Aina Adeogun, a Professor of toxicology, Zoology Department, Faculty of Science, University of Ibadan.

The burial service attracted dignitaries, political bigwigs including the Ondo State governor, Arakunrin Rotimi Akeredolu, SAN; intellectuals and personalities, including church leaders in and within Ogun State and the entire South West geopolitical region of Nigeria.
