Fallen Simba player Fahad Musana died of bronchopneumonia according to a pathologist from Mulago Hospital.

This was contained in a post mortem report delivered by the manager of the club, Perez Muwezi, on Tuesday during the burial ceremony of the deceased at Walugogo Village Iganga District.

The report dated September 23 and signed by Dr Acola Caroh, a pathologist at Mulago National Referral Hospital confirms the deceased died of bronchopneumonia.

Bronchopneumonia is the acute inflammation of the walls of the bronchioles (passageways by which air passes through the nose or mouth to the air sacs of the lungs).

“We have brought a precise report from Mulago Hospital and it indicates that the deceased died of bronchopneumonia. The detailed report will be released within four days,” Muwezi said as he handed over a copy to the deceased’s relatives.

Fahad Musana died last Sunday while watching the English Premier League (EPL) match between Chelsea and Manchester City in a video hall in Bombo, where his hitherto club, Simba, are based.

The post mortem showed no connection to the knock the deceased got on his head and back in a collision with a teammate during Simba’s Uganda Premier League (UPL) match against Entebbe on Saturday.
