Ali Kalla’s 80th-minute effort was all the Badaru Boys required to surpass the visiting Sai Masu Gida at the Hadejia Township Stadium.

Recalled that Jigawa had run out of form that saw them failed to win any of their last seven league games, which they bowed out of 2-1 loss to Heartland in their last time out.

But surprisingly, they were able to regain their form against title contender Kano Pillars on Sunday with a goal to Nil. Though the first half of the game produce no winners, but at the second half, though Kano Pillars stepped up their performance as the game looking destined to end on a no winner, but at last the super-subtitute, Kalla scored the lone goal after firing past goalkeeper Suraj Ayeleso with ten minutes left on the clock.

The defeat saw the Sani Abacha Stadium giants drop to third place on the NPFL log, having garnered 49 points from 28 outings.

Musa and his teammates would be hoping to return to winning ways when they host Ifeanyi Ubah United in their next outing on June 27.
