From Bamako, CEOAFRICA.com gathered that the inauguration of the newly elected Malian President, Ibrahim Boubakar Keita would take place on 4th of September, 2013.

In his first public speech after being declared duly elected President of the West African nation, the one-time prime minister promised to reconcile, reunite and rebuild the country after months of crises in the country.
"I will be the president of national reconciliation.  This reconciliation is necessary to deal with the demands of our people: to rebuild the state and the rule of law, to fix the army and the education system, to fight corruption and to foster economic and social development.  I will be the president to rebuild the nation," said the president-elect.

He further said that his government will not be one guided by political of family alliances.

"Let me be clear.  There is no question of sharing out the cake.  I have not promised that and it will not happen," he said.

Analysts have urged that the president-elect should put all his words into action and should act fast so as to surpass the records of past administrations in the country by investigating and publishing those embezzling public resources.
