Hands on profitable pig business in today’s world kicks off at FCAH&PT, Ibadan

Tuesday 29th June, 2021: All is now set at the Federal College of Animal Health and Production Technology, (FCAH&PT), Moor Plantation, Ibadan, where the school of short term training of the institution is expected to take participants on a journey on how to engage in animal productions which will serve as high income generation, be it individual or organization.

FCAH&PT Provost and Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Adekoya Olatunde Owosibo, is expected to declare the training open.

The two day training programme scheduled to take place at AERES International Alumni Training Centre, Moor Plantation, Ibadan, has kicked off this morning by 9am  and it would run till 4pm, and tomorrow same time.

The aim of the training programme is to provide essential skills, knowledge, and techniques which will helps in multiple animal productions and it is tagged “Hands on Profitable Pig Business in today’s World.”

The following are the sub topics to be discussed during the training: Selection of breed stocks, Pig husbandry and management, process of pig feeding, strict biosecurity for profitable farming, artificial insemination, Post African swine fever farming, value addition, pig markets and marketing strategies and lots more.
