THURSDAY- 4^th November, 2021: Some operators of commercial tricycle, otherwise known as Keke Napep, and some police officers on Thursday clashed in the Meiran area of Lagos State.

As of the time of filling this report, the cause of the clash is, however, yet to be ascertained.

One Twitter user, @Avalondaily, said, “BREAKING: Pandemonium at Ile-iwe bus stop, Meiran, Lagos – close to model college, as policeman allegedly shoots and kills a tricycle rider.”

Meanwhile, the clash has also been confirmed by the state Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Adekunle Ajisebutu.

According to him, “The Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu, has dispatched adequate police patrol teams to maintain law and order there. No cause for alarm. Details soon.”
