As part of preparations to his 2015 Presidential bid, Governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso of Kano State has promised to transform Nigeria if elected president. The governor, while speaking with TheNation on October 6, 2014, Monday, vowed to replicate his performance in Kano State in Nigeria.

Kwankwaso, who is vying for the presidential ticket under the All Progressives Congress (APC) stated that Nigeria’s challenges needed to be quickly tackled.  He said Nigeria is blessed with immerse human and material resources that could make her a world leader.

He stated that Nigeria can no longer continue to operate like an orphan in the comity of nations when it’s blessed with enough, and assured that he can change Nigeria’s sad story.

“I have the confidence to replicate the Kano developmental magic in Nigeria. Kano is proud today. Since I commenced my second mandate in 2011, I have transformed Kano,” Kwankwaso said.

It would be recalled that weeks ago, Kwankwaso revealed that he is still soliciting the opinions of friends and political associates on whether to join the racefor the country’s number one seat in the 2015 presidential election or not.

But on September 29, 2014, Kwankwaso in a press briefing gave several reasons why he wants to become the president of Nigeria in 2015, after it was earlier reported that some chieftains of the APC in Kano State had denied endorsing Governor Kwankwaso for the 2015 presidential election.
