A powerful suicide bombing rocked the Yemeni capital Sanaa on Thursday, leaving at least 10 people dead, a security source said.

The attack in the city's Al-Tahrir square came as supporters of Shiite rebels who have overrun the capital were preparing to stage a protest.

An AFP photographer saw the lifeless bodies of four children among the victims.
