A female governorship aspirant on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Delta State, Dr. Esther Uduehi, has given reasons for her desire to contest.

She said joining the race was with the intention to change lives of indigenes of the state.

Uduehi, who spoke in Asaba, promised to consolidate on the maintenance of peace and security as ensured by the present administration of Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan, if elected next year.

Besides, the governorship hopeful said her administration as governor of the oil-rich state would witness tremendous growth in education, health, infrastructure, human capital development, rural development, urban renewal, civil service amongst other sectors.

“My interest right now is to change lives of Deltans. My vision is to govern for the common good of all. You can trust me, my word is my bond. I don’t want to say it, I want to act it. I am anxious to serve, I have been tested and trusted,” she stated.
